Our little group met at a new spot today, a large county park that pretty much had it all: a creek, a “lake,” lots of paved trails, shady pathways for walking, big open fields for running. I think we actually could have picked just one area of the place to explore, but today we decided to take a long walk and see a bit of it all.
And I was happy to finally get a close-up picture of the American Coots we have seen elsewhere. The flock here was much more camera-friendly. 🙂 I just love those funny-looking feet!
While we were out, it was sunny and in the 70s. I feel spring in the air!
