{From My Commonplace}

From one of our Year 4 science readings:

“He always reads to rest himself from his labors, finding that after work, nothing refreshes so much as communion with a book that teaches us the best that others have done, said, and thought.”

  1. Great! I love books that justify reading good books. Of course, I've been not reading anything good, and reading all the time instead of after labors, so this is a great reminder to me 🙂

  2. Hehe, yeah, reading all the time instead of after labors–that's what I'd LIKE to be doing, truth be told! 😉 I love Uncle Paul in The Story-Book of Science. I really wish I had my own Uncle Paul! 🙂
