This morning we met at a reservoir in the hills above town. We made the short hike down to the rocky shore, where the children spent a couple hours throwing rocks into the lake, sketching wildflowers, collecting tiny clam shells, counting turkey vultures, and running from bees. 🙂 I’m particularly enjoying our after-outing tradition of coming home, putting the babies down for their naps, and spending an hour or so working in our nature journals and scanning our field guides for the sightings of the day.
