Lake Tahoe is a very special place for our family, and on Thanksgiving we celebrated God’s blessings with a long hike near some gorgeous mountains, a chilly river, and a deep forest. We balanced on a tree burned by lightening, saw mouse homes, watched blue jays dig for food, and stomped on icy puddles. My littles proved what excellent outdoors kids they are: Owen hiked the whole hour and half with very little complaining, and Cate was our trail blazer and managed to lead us back home without any help from us…excellent sense of direction! There is something so peaceful and lovely about being outside, and I’m so happy that our “school” knows and encourages that. Happy Thanksgiving!
