Today only half of our usual crowd was available for nature study, but we had a nice, relaxing play and walk time at a local park. It was our 4th time there as a group, but I think all the children are happy to have a familiar spot to go back to. Today, there were fewer squirrels scampering about, the grass was higher, and there seemed to be fewer wildflowers than I remember. We had a nice time looking at pepper, oak, and birch trees, and the kids ran all over the trails and hills. Oh, and that big, lovely mansion is a California historical landmark, right next to the park:)
