Just love your ideas! Do you give them any guidance on how to draw the flowers, or just let them do their best?
I don't give much instruction on days like this, but I do encourage them to observe carefully and occasionally we do some warm-up exercises that I have gathered from a few drawing books (particularly Nature Drawing by Clare Walker Leslie). Maybe I'll post about those exercises sometime soon, because they are perfect for children–very process-oriented, low-stress, fun! (Thanks for stopping by, by the way!)
